Through a strange twist of fate and technology a portion of Commander Benjamin Ford's consciousness uploaded into the Guardian mech he was piloting when he died. Since then, his daughter Charlie has grown up with a hulking, 30 foot war-machine as a father. A machine that has a singular objective: keep Charlie safe.
